Thanks to those who made it out to my first solo show. If you weren't able to make it to the opening, the work will be up all month. According to the word on the street, the Ksera x 35th North skate deck will be in next week!
Stop by 35th North Skate shop tonight for the opening of 'Up Hill', and see my new work. The Capital Hill artwalk will be great with this wonderful weather!
Here's a tiny sneak peek, you have to stop by the shop to see the rest.
Also, the 35th North x Ksera boards will be in very soon!
Recently, I spent a few weeks on a commercial set with Keith Rivers Films, creating light writing effects used for this Microsoft IE9 commercial. Not only was this my first experience being on a studio set, but also, light writing. I spent many long days in a pitch black studio, toying with flashlights and bulbs, trying to get the right look. We played around with many different light sources and some very innovative filming techniques that you will be able to catch in the behind-the-scenes documentary, coming soon. I had an amazing time working with the Keith Rivers Films crew, and I look forward to viewing future compelling advertisements they create.
Carlos Aguilar and I are collaborating on a couple of coffins for this year's "Boxes of Death" show at The Piranha Shop. The 50 coffins by 50 artists will be traveling to Portland and Los Angeles for later showings in the spring.
Some really cool projects in the works! I have been super swamped getting ready for the new year, and all of its endeavors. I managed to get myself into a new exciting medium, which will be revealed in a few months. Until then, I'll keep it moving in the studio!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Miami's annual Art Basel, and the Primary Flight event, here is a great summary of what happens when artists from around the globe, come to one neighborhood, and take over all visual space.
Im currently gathering some amazing photos from our wall, that I will post later in the week. Till then, you can catch a few of the Few and Far ladies painting in the video.
Recently, I was able to paint a few traffic control boxes for the City of Seattle, and the Jackson Street Corridor Association. You can find them in Seattle's Central District, along Jackson St.
Watch out! Many of these ladies (and more!) will be at it again, at Primary Flight/Art Basel, this December in Miami. I will be counting down the days till then!
